Firm Profile
GeoPacific Engineering, Inc. (GeoPacific) is a locally owned consulting
firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, geoenvironmental, and
field quality control services for construction. GeoPacific provides
geotechnical services to industrial, commercial, residential and
municipal clients throughout Oregon and Washington from our office
located in Sherwood, Oregon, just a few miles west of the I-5 corridor.
GeoPacific was founded in October, 2000, when the firm’s
principals purchased the Portland geotechnical branch of LSI/ADaPt
Engineering, Inc. The ownership transition was practically seamless, as
GeoPacific continued to provide services on all ongoing geotechnical
projects with no changes in personnel.
GeoPacific offers a full range of geotechnical services such that we
are involved in projects from the planning and permitting stage, site
development and construction, to final completion and occupancy of
structures. This approach promotes a smooth construction process, and
helps minimize unanticipated problems and control construction costs. We
are capable of meeting difficult schedules and budgets, and navigating
jurisdictional hurdles to keep projects moving forward. In general, a
principal of the firm is directly involved in every project. This direct
involvement enables us to meet our goal of providing high quality,
responsive service at a competitive price. GeoPacific carries
professional and general liability insurance in the amounts of
$1,000,000 each.
GeoPacific’s management and senior level staff covers the full range of
expertise and training from experienced field technicians to veteran
geotechnical engineers with extensive experience on projects within the
city, county, and state jurisdictions of the Portland-Vancouver
metropolitan area. Our experience includes a wide variety of projects
throughout the Pacific Northwest ranging from single family residential
to large mixed-use developments, commercial buildings, major landslide
stabilization, transportation and other infrastructure projects. We are
experienced with modern techniques and familiar with the geologic
conditions throughout the Pacific Northwest.
