James Imbrie, has over 20 years experience in the field of geotechnical engineering and materials testing oversight, practicing locally since 1990. His interest in earth sciences began after witnessing the Mt. St. Helens eruption on May 18, 1980 from Mt. Adams. He has also practiced for 6 years in southern California, working on such projects as the Directors Guild of America building, the 14 story Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort, the San Bernardino Community Hospital, and a chip manufacturing facility for Western Digital. He has expertise in a wide range of small to large sized residential, commercial, and industrial developments. Many of these projects include complex earthwork, retaining wall, and slope stability issues. He is experienced in repair of distressed structures, provides expert consultation and testimony on design and construction related to geotechnical issues. He has also provided peer review, technical oversight and quality assurance services for local government agencies. He is registered as a Professional Engineer in the states of Oregon, Washington, and California, and as an Engineering Geologist in Oregon.

 
Scott L. Hardman, P.E., Principal Engineer

Scott Hardman, has over 20 years experience in the geotechnical engineering field, with extensive experience on residential and large commercial development projects, and is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Oregon, Washington, and California. Scott’s experience also includes numerous transportation, public facilities, wastewater treatment plants, tunnel and major pipeline projects, seismicity studies, liquefaction analyses, and development of remediation measures for seismically unstable sites.


 
Paul A. Crenna, C.E.G., L.E.G., L.H.G., Principal Geologist

Paul Crenna has over 15 years of consulting experience in the field of engineering geology and geotechnical engineering practicing in California, Oregon, and Washington. Paul is a Certified Engineering Geologist in Oregon, and a Licensed Engineering Geologist and Hydrogeologist in Washington. Paul obtained a Masters Degree in Geology from Oregon State University, held a guest researcher post at the Geologic Survey of Japan and participated as a shipboard scientist for submarine seismotectonic studies of offshore Oregon and Washington. Paul’s project experience includes geologic and geotechnical site investigations for developments including residential and commercial buildings, subdivisions, pipelines, road alignments, dams, seawalls and forensic evaluations of earthquake damage to buildings and seismic ground failure. Paul’s expertise includes site characterization, slope stability evaluation and slope repair, seismic hazard assessment, and geotechnical construction oversight.
